Why POWER 106.1?

 

Local artist are starving because their own local radio stations won't support thier music. Indie artist and unsigned artist can't get radio play because of "payola" is just way over the average artist's head. At power 106.1 FM Tampa our mission is to create a powerhouse of networks, resources and opportunities for artist local and around the world to connect with their fans and their communities. With the capabilities of reaching 8 million people from Tampa, St. Petersburg to Clearwater Florida our program can be heard on 4 stations 106.1 FM, 1340, 1350 and 1400 AM. We aim to bring diversity and bridge the gap between artist, their fans and thier communities local and all over the world by supporting unsigned artist and giving them the voice and opportunity to build new fans. Then we let the listeners decide who has what it takes or not. We're giving the "Power to the People" as we say here at Power 106.1 FM Tampa.
